Steve used to work in a supermarket,  Giant,  years ago.   Customers wanted to tip,   unfortunately in the company policy , its still not allowed.

Steve used to work at two supermarkets: one was Giant, and the other was Superfresh. Giant had a strict no-tipping policy due to at-will employment laws. Interestingly, when applicants signed the application, they effectively became gig workers—this practice has always been in place
